Con artists, thieves, and spammers just trolling for victims. You`ll note most of these have no profile, or have posted a link to a website designed to infect your computer.

Good morning, Jim & Debbie,

Thanks for reminding me that a lot of the spammers have no profiles or have links to things that are totally unrelated to Murphy, NC.

I spent some time deleting anyone that had one-word profile names that made no sense instead of waiting for them to spam us later. If you see anyone I missed, please let me know and I'll suspend them, too.

I'm trying to keep this community as spam free and as on-topic as possible.

We think you`re doing a GREAT job, John. We just hope you don`t get discouraged, because they (spam artists) are relentless!

Thank you, I appreciate that.

No, I don't think I'll get discouraged (over the long run), because I know that there are some truly clueless people out there who just don't care what they disrupt. Suspending them on a regular basis is just part of maintaining a community like this one so that the rest of us can play nice in our sandbox.

We regularly get spammers who join and bother others. I delete several of them every week. Sorry this one got past me.
