I love this cool weather!

I woke up sometime this morning and was uncomfortably chilly. A blanket sounded like a great idea so I pulled one over me and snuggled back under it. That was perfect. I smiled, appreciated the cool air and warm blanket and went back to sleep for a few hours.

This kind of weather brings a relief from the unrelenting heat of summer and offers a promise of beautiful autumn days here in the mountains. It won't be too long before the leaves start changing and all the fall activities begin.

We still have days that will be hot enough for swimming, and all the other summer activities, but the pleasantly cool nights are refreshing for those of us who prefer cooler temperatures.

This is the first morning that I've enjoyed sipping hot apple cider on the porch at Castle Dragon. It reminds me of many mornings at the Folk School, sipping apple cider, and waiting for Morning Song to start.

In fact, I associate hot apple cider with lots of great memories of friends and fun activities.

It's the start of another wonderful day in paradise!
