For three weeks I've been doing a two hour radio show on WYHG-770 AM (The sister station to 95.1 FM-Best mix in the stix). It's Saturdays from 12:00-2:00 in the afternoon.
You can get the show in Brasstown, but maybe not in Murphy-----
the genres I play are old-time, bluegrass and folk
listen if you can--I play a lot of local people who I have recorded during my 18 years here at the folk school.
Hey Dena-------you can listen in at www.wyhgradio.com. You have to be online right when I am live. The show will be broadcast both at wyhg 770 AM on your radio dial from noon until 2:00, or listen in at www.wyhgradio.com on your computer. As Tipper says below her dad (Jerry Wilson) and brother (Paul Wilson) will be live in the studio from 12:00-1:00 this Saturday, then we go to recordings I've made over the past 18 years of local/regional singers and musicians. This is one of a kind folklore that celebrates who we are as a culture. I'm proud that Sammy Ensley and the other staff at Wolf Creek broadcasting gives me time for this----they could be selling generic pop
Thanks for the link David. I'll be sure to post it over on my site as well-hopefully you'll get some Blind Pig readers tuning in to listen-they are crazy about Pap and Paul.
