I had to stop and think about what you were asking and then I saw that Katie had been writing in the snow in the top photo. I didn't see that when I snapped it.
I'll have to wait until the sun comes up and then go see if it's still there. (grin)
I grew up on a farm in Virginia and as a kid we had a huge hill in an open pasture that we sled down everytime it snowed. Not only was it us kids but alot of adults would come over and we'd spend all day sledding and then in the afternoon we'd gather around the fireplace and drink hot tea and cocoa and laugh. Usually the smaller kids would go to sleep. I do miss those days.
Carol, you bring back memories of my childhood. Grandpa`s farm in Michigan was all rolling hills. And there was one spot where we could ride the toboggan down the hill, and gain enough speed to make it through a small valley, and nearly to the top of the next hill. So we didn`t have far to go to turn it around, and go back down....and up again!
We`d spend HOURS just riding back & forth from hilltop to hilltop. Grandpa was a pretty big guy, and occasionally, he`d ride on the back, and with his weight on the sled, we would FLY down that hill!
