Murphy NC 28906 - A growing community with small town charm
Where are the best WiFi hotspots in Murphy?
1. I need something to take around with me to demonstrate some of the things I do, and I'm thinking it would be much easier to just enter information from clients right into a computer at the time instead of taking notes and coming back home and entering them into my more powerful computer.
2. It doesn't look like I'm going to get broadband any time soon in this area where I live. At least, with a laptop, I could take it somewhere in Murphy and get a much faster connection than I get here at home.
While I have absolutely no experience using WiFi, I understand the concept.
So, that brings us to the question...
Where are the best WiFi hotspots in Murphy?
I only know of two:
1. Murphy Public Library
2. Cafe Bella Luna (I don't believe Cafe Bella Luna is currently open for business.)
Do you know of others? If so, what are their conditions of use and cost?

I'm using ShoeBooties Cafe's wifi right now on my laptop as I have a working lunch. It works great.

Mountain Brew Coffee House is closed.
Stucco House Coffee Roasters has free wifi with purchase.
Stucco House Coffee Roasters is located at 324 Hill St. 828-837-9492
The Public Library censors some URLs. You can't access Facebook or Twitter there, for example.
I think the McDonald's wifi is free now. I stopped for coffee a few days ago and while I was in the parking lot, I checked to see if I could access it with my iPod. I could. Haven't really tested it, yet.
I appreciate your help. I want to have the best list of wifi hotspots in Murphy and keep it updated here and on Murphy Gold.

Another new addition: Connie's Confections has free wi-fi for customers.
They bake outstanding cakes, cookies, pies, and other great treats. You'll always find fast, friendly, courteous service, too.
They are located at 649 Andrews Road Suite 649 A, Murphy, NC 28906. (In the old Cook's Diner location, across from the Sweet Tooth.)
Connie has a full menu and all their contact information on their Facebook Info Page.
Their cakes are yummy!
I've heard good things about their blueberry cheesecakes, but I haven't tried it yet. Won't be long before I do! (grin)

The new Krystal restaurant has great free Wi-Fi and if you park at curbside... you can hang out in your car, and get extra customer service! , like free soft drink refills. For anyone who doesn't like the burgers, they have a great chicken sand and also good salads (but who doesn't like a good milshake or slurpee??) while surfing...
