Good morning, Murphy.

It's been awhile since we've done much in this group, and I've missed it. So, here I am and I'm sending out a big "howdy" to y'all.

I'm enjoying a nice cup of coffee and a bagel with butter, honey, and cinnamon this morning. It's a great way to start the day. I bought the honey from a beekeeper who lives in Blairsville, and it's made from this year's wildflowers, so maybe it will help to keep my allergies under control. And it's finger-licking good, too! (grin)

There have been some changes to this site over the last month, and because of the different feature set we're getting with the new subscription, I can add the chat feature back into our community if there is any interest.

Dena, what do you think? Do you want to consider trying the chat, again?

Hope all of you have a great day!

Good morning friends and neighbors!

I'm just starting my second cup of coffee this morning and thought I'd say howdy.

I tried something the day before yesterday that Dena told me about and I've become a big fan.

Normally, I drink my coffee black (but not strong and black, the way Dena makes it). (grin)

Dena told me about the International Delight creamer singles and I bought a box of Hazelnut and another box of French Vanilla. I bought them about a month ago, but tried one of the French Vanilla for the first time a couple of days ago.

I love it!

I'm not sure which flavor I like the best, but I enjoy both of them.

I'll still drink most of my coffee black, but now and then, when I'm in the mood for a little treat, I know what I'll do.

Having a good day here in the mountains. Hope you're off to a good start, too.

All the best,

JD

Hi Deborah,

Got your message and I agree with you. I love this time of year when the flowers and trees are so beautiful. Last week, when Dena and I went to Sylva, I loved going through the Nantahala River Gorge and seeing all the beautiful green leaves (in a million different shades of green) on all the surrounding mountains.

Normally, I like cool weather, but I'm ready for blackberry winter to be over and it's time for warmer weather.

All the best,

JD

Hey Carol,

I just saw your comment about the pollen, and there has been a whole lot of pollen around here this year, too.

Normally, I have terrible spring allergies, but for some reason I haven't been bothered by them much at all this year; barely had a few sneezes and no headaches. After all the other things I'm going through right now, I'm very grateful for being spared my normal allergy miseries.

I hope that those of you who do will soon reach the end of your pollen suffering and can enjoy the beauty that surrounds us here.

All the best,

JD

It was cold here in Murphy this morning and a couple of cups of steaming coffee helped me start my day off right. How about you?

I'm thinking that the last couple of days must have been what some people call blackberry winter. It was cold enough that parts of the area had a frost advisory and the blackberry vines have just started blooming.

Maybe this will be the last really cold snap of the spring and we can turn our thoughts to warm weather things like gardening, hiking, camping, and swimming!

I like cool weather, but I know some of you are more than ready for hot summer weather so you can let the warmth soak in clear to your bones.

All the best,

JD

OMG! This pollen is terrible. I have to keep a cover on my coffee cup while I sip my coffee on my porch in the mornings. My car is no longer red.......it's yellow......inside and out. I don't suffer with allergies so thank the good Lord for that. But this must be the worst year ever for pollen. Anyone have any thoughts?

Thank you for allowing me to join in the club. I love clubs where the coffee is hot, the atmosphere is cheerful and the conversation is pleasant.
