Fishing around Murphy

Can anyone tell me where a good place to shore fish in or around Murphy? My husband likes to fish for bass but doesn't want to rent a boat. Any ideas? Any imput would be appreciated.Continue

- I love being in the mountains and the beach. I really did not like living in the city. My children have left the nest and I am having a really nice time reconnecting with my husband. We enjoy doing things together. I wish I had the courage to try to hike the AT. I think it would be one of life's great experiences. Maybe one day my son and I will get the chance.
