I love living here. I lived in Vero Beach, Florida during the early 1960s and I was in Phoenix, Arizona for a few years before moving to Murphy in 1984. So, I really appreciate the beauty and lush greenery of these mountains.

 

Murphy is more of a laid-back area than Asheville is. We don't have all the malls and things that they have, but we have more peace and quiet. In a lot of ways, Murphy reminds me of Mayberry on the old Andy Griffith shows. We've moved into the 21st century, but there is still the small town charm and friendly people.

 

I hope you have a wonderful visit.
