We`ve been watching with interest the Cherokee Scout articles about the Great Smokey Mountain Rail Road owner`s desires to bring a scenic train into Murphy. As for us, we LOVE trains, and think this…Continue

Has there been a list compiled of "points of interest" around Murphy? It would be nice to have as a guide to things, like the best waterfalls, swimming holes, hiking trails, good fishing spots, high…Continue

Looks like a full time job just keeping the spammers knocked off here. My thanks to the powers that be who are in charge of that, and for ALL the work involved creating, and maintaining, this GREAT…Continue

Jim and Debbie, I've been up that fire tower quite a few times, but it's been many years ago. I don't think I'm up to walking up all those steps right now. (Although that sounds like a great goal for next year!)
Dena's been a busy girl, lately. Her business is booming and she's working all the time, so I don't think she's open to my persuasion about it. (grin)
I should have some time Sunday to edit the video about my adventure all the way to the land of Degatide! I'll get it uploaded as soon as I can.
Whew! Just missed it by "that" much! (grin)
That reminds me, I shot some video this spring about the target range and never edited it into an uploadable video. That's something else I need to do.
500 rounds in an hour! It's a wonder I didn't hear that from here. Sounds like fun.
Wow! You really were busy! I'm half-way glad I didn't see you, because you would have tried to put me to work!
Sounds like you're making good progress.
I'll look forward to seeing you next visit and I'm betting a fire and hot cider will go good in February. (grin)
I'll get that video edited and uploaded in a few days. It's kind of hectic here, right now. Lots of work-related stuff that all needs to get done yesterday.
Good morning, Jim and Deb.
Last week, while I was out driving around, I did some exploring and found your future slice of paradise in Degatide. I shot video of the leaves going from Sandy Gap down to your property and back and I'll be uploading it in a few days so you can see what your drive will be like in the fall when you move here.
I hope you like it, when I get it edited and uploaded.
