The last few months have been tough.
One of the chemotherapy regimens with which I was being treated stopped working last autumn and my oncologist switched to a new drug. Today, I replaced the Google Adsense ads in the right column of every page on Murphy Connections, with photos of, and links to, the Site Sponsors who make it possible.

From the What Went Wrong, JD? Department -- I apologize to anyone who received the old Murphy Gold News issue from November 2009 this morning. I was changing the newsletter in order to send out a short notice about publishing new issues and I sent the old one by mistake. I'm really sorry. I'll do my best not to do it, again.
Now that I'm feeling better and have more energy, I'm looking forward to working with the owners of the businesses featured on Murphy Gold to bring you…

I've been adding new features here and there and tweaking some old ones so they work better.
Now, when you post a status update, it shows on our home page, on your profile page, and you can choose to share it on Twitter and/or Facebook, too.
All the best,
JD

I'm not going to dwell on being too sick for the last couple of years to do much more than basic maintenance on Murphy Connections. It happened. I fought a hard two-year fight with cancer and we kicked its butt.
Now, I'm feeling stronger and more clear-headed.
If Murphy Connections were a steam-engine train, then I'm the engineer. We've taken on coal and water, put fresh clean sand in the hoppers, and we're building up a head of steam. I've tested the whistle…

Sharon DiSanto said… Good Morning John,
I am glad you are feeling better. I dream of the Murphy area everyday. We are in the very early preliminary stages, but the more I see/learn about the area the more I want to live there. If you have any suggestions of what I should research or explore about the area please let me know. (my first Murphy's post!)
