Randy Dockery is a native of the Murphy, NC. His family roots go back to the 1840's when James Dockery moved to the area. Living and working here his entire life has given Randy the opportunity to see almost every inch of Cherokee County. He loves his mountain home territory and as he puts it, "If I didn't already live in Murphy, I would surely have to move here! I have seen a lot of change from the time Murphy had only one traffic light and no four-lane roads, but it is still the greatest place to live."Cherokee County is located in the southwestern corner of North Carolina between Chattanooga, TN, and Asheville, NC, and Atlanta, GA. We are about 2 hours away from these major cities. Cherokee County consists of two cities: Murphy and Andrews. Cherokee County is a land of scenic splendor with Streaming Rivers, Babbling Streams, Awesome Lakes, and Beautiful Mountains that are green in the spring and summer and then they burst into Amazing and Glorious color in the fall, and yes, we even get some snow in the winter.

Here's our Invitation to Come to the Mountains of Murphy, North Carolina and Start Making Your Mountain Memories Today!

Good evening, Randy.

I'm sorry it took so long to start that discussion about starting a business blog, and I got pretty long-winded, too, but it's online and I welcome any of your questions and comments.

Good morning, Randy.

There are several ways to get started blogging. Some are free, some low-cost, and some are more expensive, but probably better.

When you get a few minutes, come join the Promote Your Business group here on Murphy Connections. I'm going to be posting a series of articles with my thoughts about online marketing and blogging will certainly be part of the discussion.

No, you can't be a dummy and have gotten to where you are in the real estate business!

One way to get your feet wet and try it out is to use the free blog that is available to you here. If you can send email, you can blog. In fact, blogging is as simple as leaving a comment here. To try it, go to the Blogs page and click the "+ Add a Blog Post" link in the upper right part of the page below the tab bar.

Then, just fill in the box and publish it.

If you don't like your early attempts, you can delete them - no fuss, no muss.

Give me a couple of days (maybe even later today) and I'll start a discussion about blogging in the Promote Your Business group. You're welcome to join in.

We're all working to learn how to use all the new technology, and just have to jump in the river somewhere, if we expect to cross it.

All the best,

JD
