2 New Friends
It's been a fun week. I started Monday with a personal meeting, getting together with Scott Stambaugh at the Daily Grind. Scott wanted to interview me for an article in the Cherokee Scout, due out next week.
Getting to know Scott, as we chatted, was a lot of fun. He's smart and sharp as a tack. And his natural sense of humor is right up my alley. Great guy!
Then, I found myself swapping emails with John Dilbeck, discussing my new book, and he invited me to join this online community. I got to poking around and thought... heck yeah!... this is great!
Thanks to John. I see his notes on facebook, but this is even better!
So... two new friends in one week. Not bad, eh?
For those who are following my progress, I'll be posting here and on my personal blog with updates and excerpts about my books. If you or someone you know loves to read, use the "follow" feature to stay in the loop.
As a new author, I'm looking forward to your comments and feedback. But, even more, I'm happy to chat with other writers and exchange ideas, answer questions, etc.

Good afternoon, Michael.
I've been enjoying reading your blog and look forward to learning more about you.
For those who don't know, Michael is writing a trilogy that is based (at least partly) in the Murphy area.
I spend a lot more time here than I do on Facebook, Michael, and I'm happy to have you join us here.
Maybe we ought to start a new writers group here on Murphy Connections. What do you think?
