Thank you for the quick response and all the help, I'm still relatively new here so I'm trying to learn my way around and see how things work. But your comment helped answer a lot for me so when I get a moment I will certainly post up the info I asked about in the appropriate places.
Also I understand about your leave of absence and appreciate you letting me know. Dena is one of my many cousins so if I have any further questions or need any additional help in your time away I'll certainly get up with her.
Thank you again for the fast reply and all the best to you,
I have a question. I've been reading on this site's code of conduct and I'm confused. It says that we're not allowed to promote our businesses and products on the site except in the designated forums/groups. So if I wanted to announce that I now have prints of my art in the Artist's Common in Murphy, where would I post that? Or would I be allowed to post something like that here? Also my parents have a self-owned business (Howard's Bait & Tackle off 294 near Hiwassee Dam) and I was wondering where would it be appropriate to post information up about it as well.
Thank you for your kind welcome! Was this site your idea, JD? What a BRILLIANT idea! I'll look forward to joining the coffee club next time in April, next time I'm up there for an extended visit.
Loved the snow! So did our dog, Belle! She thinks it's Christmas. but I'm counting on Spring. Soon it will be here and it is magical. Looking forward to having the kids up. They never want to go back. Love this site - it is quality! Good night!.
Thanks for the welcome and we are looking forward to contributing. That is, if we ever get speedy svc in our neck of the woods. Slow until then. We live in Murphy full time now and love it like nobody's business. Up from Tampa Bay area and have 2 sons in FL. Would you believe it has snowed like nobody's business all day today - just now slowing at our house. We said that with all the rain in the summer and fall, this snow would happen. First prediction I ever made that came true, I think!!! Sorry to involve the whole area. Compliments on the website. Best we've ever seen. More later and thanks!

Thanks for adding me to your site!! Have you been hearing about all the power outages in Haywood and Buncombe? Maybe me and you should be glad we only got rain : ) I'm still wanting a white Christmas though!
All my wishing didn't get us any snow did it : ) My father-n-law has 15 inches he lives in Haywood County in the canton area. I'm so jealous. But there are lots of roads shut down out there too-so I'm not jealous of folks stuck in their cars at all. Hope you have a good day. One of my girls has her first violin recital today-keep your fingers crossed it goes well.
As soon as Tipper can show me the ropes on this site, I'll join Local Writers. Today I was guest at a "Book Party" where I read from my poetry book and every guest bought a book. WOW!
Such a nice day.
I've been very fortunate to have a few friends agree to make the book available, and they'll be mentioned in the Scout ad coming out next week.
Nate's Country Store, Twice Upon a Time, Ranger Convenience, and Mountain Valley Pack & Ship.
So far, so good. The early reviews I got from my "proofers" was excellent. I know that no book is for "everyone"... we all have different tastes. But, to those who fit into the genre I've chosen... they should have a lot of fun turning my pages!
Funny you should mention the Trekkie thing. I pay homage to it in my book.
John-thank you : ) I do a post like that at the end of each month. I feel it's the least I can do for folks who are supporting me by visiting my site. A lot of folks don't care about the links-but I'm sure you know as well as I do-if you are trying to raise your google rating-every little link helps!
Hope you're enjoying this rainy day-I'm wishing it would stop : )
