Murphy NC 28906 - A growing community with small town charm

Lake Hiwassee July 10, 2010

We spent the afternoon on Lake Hiwassee, Hiwassee River, and the Valley River, in, and around, Murphy, NC.

The Hiwassee River flows northward on the west side of Murphy and the Valley River flows on the east side of Murphy. They converge just north of Murphy and form Lake Hiwassee.

It was a gorgeous afternoon and we had lots of fun.

Swimming and boating are two of the best things to do in Murphy, NC.
